Join Wiley for a day-long, online video workshop dedicated to exploring and discussing elements of craft, the building blocks of solid prose writing. We’ll spend the morning breaking down and discussing over a dozen craft elements, including character, plot, dialogue, and setting. After a break for lunch we’ll spend the afternoon discussing one another’s prose while exploring ways to successfully incorporate the morning’s craft elements into our work. The afternoon will close with a Q&A about agents and query letters. Open to fiction and nonfiction writers of all levels.
As part of the workshop, everyone is encouraged to submit 10 pages of prose oneweek before the workshop at no extra charge. Submissions will be shared with the participants and discussed during the afternoon.
After registering, participants will receive an email with a link to the online workshop, as well information about submitting manuscripts.
Personal manuscript critiques, including line edits and a one-page editorial letter, are available for an additional price. Manuscripts cannot exceed 10 pages and must be double-spaced and printed in 12 pt. Times New Roman font. Critiques will include line-edits and a one-page editorial letter.
